After multiple deadlines, the day is finally upon us. Argus DCF is going away and AE is officially taking over. The drop-dead date was 6/30/17.

Of course, some users will continue to use DCF long past the 6/30 date; just because the date has passed, it doesn’t automatically mean that the license burns itself out. In theory, if you have a perpetual license, you could keep using it until your computer breaks. However, even if you do, and not everyone does, eventually you’ll find yourself in a smaller and smaller circle of people who use it. All software dies eventually.

So, if you find yourself in that group of diehard DCF users, I’d like to suggest taking a look at AssessRE. It’s a really solid product, and if you refuse to transition to AE, it’s worth checking out (and yes, I’m on their board so if you buy it, in a very roundabout way, I benefit). Or, if you really want to keep using DCF, and need some help, call me. I’ve been using it for 15+ years and can always help you with any DCF training/consulting issues that you may have.
