At this time, we offer three training classes on a regular basis.
All of these classes may be taken in person or over Zoom.
They are:
Excel for Real Estate Analysis – This two-day class is for those who have beginner to intermediate technical skills, and are trying to up their skills to an advanced level. Commercial real estate topics include cash flow analysis, construction and development, and joint venture/partnerships. It is offered every six weeks. The price is $895 per person.
Distressed Debt and Special Situations – This one day class is a new offering in response to changing market conditions. It utilizes a series of case studies and spreadsheets to focus on investing in and valuing distressed debt and special situations. It is offered twice per year. The price is $495 per person.
Advanced Excel Modeling – This one day class is targeted to those professionals who already have advanced Excel skills and are trying to push Excel to the limits of what it can do. While many of the examples are drawn from commercial real estate, it is not a commercial real estate class; it is a class that focuses on advanced Excel functionality. It is offered twice per year. The price is $495 per person.
All classes are taught by Joshua Kahr. He is the founder and principal of Kahr. Mr. Kahr is internationally recognized as an expert in real estate financial modeling. Since 2002, he has taught financial modeling for leading institutions including commercial banks, investment banks, private real estate investment firms, REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts), business schools, developers, and government agencies. He has also taught real estate finance and real estate capital markets as an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s MS in Real Estate Development program since 2005.
